There are different ways to make money online such as affiliate
sales, Adsense, membership sites, mini sites that promote a product
(your own or an affiliate product), store sites, and so on. What’s the
best way to make money online?
You need your own e-mail list. It’s much easier to sell to someone who you have a relationship with and who trusts you.
Is this your first time on this site? If so, are you going to buy anything I promote here? Probably not. You don’t know me.
But if you knew me, and had trust in what I say, you would probably purchase something that I highly recommended.
That’s one of the reasons to have your own e-mail list. People sign
up, they receive your newsletter every week, and over time they feel
like they know you. When you recommend something, whether it’s your own
product or an affiliate product, they trust you and will be more likely
to buy it than if a stranger told them about it.
The way to build that trust is to give them lots of free
information. Be generous. Tell them about great Web sites (I learned of
one this week, Willow.com. You can find out what your home is valued at
and what your neighbors’ homes are worth)
I’m probably a lot like you. I’m trying to make a living by working at home.
If you are just starting out, you have probably found that the
Internet is full of great-sounding products. My recommendation to you
is take it slow. Focus on one thing and don’t spend any money on any
product that is outside of that focus.
Learn how to put up a Web site or blog, start putting content onto
that site. Build it up with lots of great information. Sign up with Aweber and put up an opt-in box where people can subscribe to your newsletter.
Offer them something for subscribing. Make the offer so good that
they will be glad to give you their e-mail address, their street
address, and their phone number. Why all this information? Because the
Internet might not always be available.
If the Internet crashes (and there are countries trying to do this),
then you will still have the street address and phone numbers of the
people on your list. You can continue to communicate with them offline,
and continue to market to them.
If you have no idea how to set up a blog, how to research a niche, publish to it, and monetize it, check out Authority Site Center. I belong to them and it’s where I got 90% of my training.
If you want a cost-effective way to learn everything about e-mail
marketing, how to get subscribers, how to market to them, and how to
build a relationship, then check out Mark Hendrick’s complete tutorial
that he is still selling for less than $50. Don’t put it off, though.
