Paralyzed Tortoise Gets Skateboard Wheels

A ten-year-old African Spurred Tortoise named Arava was given a set of wheels for her two paralyzed hind legs. Zookeepers at Jerusalem’s Bibilical Zoo allow the tortoise to use the wheels for a few hours each day. The skateboard wheels help Arava move around her habitat normally and she has even started to mate. Reuters does say she has also received some extra unwanted attention from rival males.
